Cheryl Ann La Vella is our Quality Process Partner and Consultant in Six Sigma Quality and Operations systems.

Her prior experience includes Operations Manager, Materials Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Manager of Logistics, and Information Technology Manager, Manufacturing System Analyst, Training Manager and Career Development Manager. Cheryl also teaches most areas of Operation Management and Quality Systems at local universities in California and in-house classes in many manufacturing organizations. Cheryl has implemented Supply Chain Improvement Projects, Just In Time Systems and Inventory and Supply Chain Management programs.

She is an active member of several professional societies including: American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS), Toastmasters International and the Association of Professional Women.

Cheryl has also held several offices on the Board of Directors for APICS, including the office of President. In addition, Cheryl has held regional leadership positions with APICS, and President of Toastmasters International and has been guest lecturer at many service groups, civic organizations and universities.

Ms. La Vella has earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and professional certifications from several colleges and universities. She also holds several APICS certifications in her chosen field. She has organized and hosted Goldratt's Theory of Constraint program, Just-In-Time (JIT) College, Dale Carnegie's Leadership program and is currently a group leader for several advanced training programs.

She has taught at the University of California, California State Polytechnic University and De Vry University.

Dr. Malcolm Leal is our Partner for International Studies. He has a Doctoral degree in Human Behavior and Industrial Relations from the Institute of Technology and Management Sciences University of Havana, Cuba. His Master in Business Administration comes from Webster University in 2002 in New York. He has extensive postgraduate work in Process Mapping, Re-engineering and Redesign; Competencies in Change Management and System Thinking. Malcolm has excellent bilingual professional skills.

He was Director of Operations in the West Indies Steel Industries - Antillana de Acero where he planned and implemented enterprise resource planning (ERP) and production schemes as part of his doctoral dissertation. He is a pioneer in pre-employment assessment and psychometric aptitude testing in decision-making for work-team integration.

As an Associate Researcher at the Universidad Autonoma de Baja California, his work encompassed research on the areas of industrial and organizational behavior in bi-national companies

Malcolm was Regional Development Director for Scripps Healthcare Systems. He coordinated all professional development efforts in order improve productivity, efficiency and performance of clinical and bio-medical personnel.

As a Consultant at Arthur Anderson Global Consulting Associate Accenture he focused on the Latin American Business Development Consulting Group. He was responsible for coordinating project management, solution implementation and effectiveness assessment of performance improvement, change management, six sigma, M&A strategies and other tasks related to organizational transformation

He specializes in P&L assessment and forecast, process management and strategy development for incipient manufacturing concerns within the US-Mexico border region. His experience also includes change management, business process redesign and process mapping, knowledge management and organizational learning solutions. Malcom is also speaks fluent Spanish.

Dennis Fisher, MBA, CFPIM, CPM is President of Basic Business Services, an international organization dedicated to education and consulting in the global business community. His business and personal life is founded on one key principle - To train and develop people for their personal and professional growth. Thus he is focused on the physical application of learning through the students. He has held many positions over the last 30 years in manufacturing, distribution, purchasing, consulting, training, engineering and service organizations.

Mr. Fisher is considered an industry leader in "Who's Who in Industry and Finance" and other reference publications for his contributions to automation and advanced process redesign throughout the world. He is a regular speaker at professional and civic groups around the world. He has served in the presidencies of several professional societies including the Institute for Supply Management and the American Production and Inventory Control Society.

Mr. Fisher's received his MBA from Pepperdine University with a focus on Customer Satisfaction and Quality. He has undergraduate degrees in both Sociology and American Studies. In addition to his formal schooling, he also has earned professional certificates in Nuclear Technology, Paint Technology, Communications Electronics, Production Planning and Control, Purchasing Management and Professional Training.

Mr. Fisher has served as an Assistant Professor in several universities and colleges. He presents lectures, seminars, workshops, educational and certification programs locally and internationally. His education of business people in China, Japan, New Zealand, Europe, Caribbean, Mexico, Central America and Canada adds to his global expertise. He has been a faculty member at Canadian Management Centre in Toronto, Canada for over 10 years.

Mr. Fisher is also a published author. He has written and published many articles, essays and books. He has been published in many domestic and international books, conference proceedings and professional journals, including McGraw Hills' Production and Inventory Control Handbook, Auerback Publishers' Computers in Manufacturing, and McGraw Hills' The Just-In-Time Self Test and Implementation Guide.
